The Penticton Western News is looking to hear more from our community members and is interested in finding out what they love about Penticton.

We are profiling different residents for our community section, by asking them to answer a list of questions about Penticton and why they think it is so great.

This week we are profiling Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth, who grew up in Ontario and has been a fan of the NBA team the Toronto Raptors since their inaugural tip off in 1995.

Find out what Wrigglesworth thinks about his community of Penticton.

When someone says ‘Penticton’ what’s the first thing that comes to mind?

Sunshine!

If you could change or improve one thing about your community what would it be?

I would love to a see our community co-operate and work together. We need to take the time to listen to our fellow community members and to learn their side of an issue before forcing our thoughts on them. In the end, we do seem to reach an acceptable outcome (SOEC, Lakeshore walkway, 200 block), but the road to success is often way too bumpy.

What’s your favourite local company?

Pentagon Board Shop … oooh, so many others.

What are the top three places you would recommend that tourists visit when they are in Penticton?

1) Walk from Loco Landing to the marina, the board walk is beautiful;

2) Bike the KVR, from Chute Lake right into the city (pack a lunch) or start just above the tunnels and stop for ice cream;

3) Saturday market downtown.

What do you see for the community in 20 years?

Clean streets and clean store fronts.

If you know someone that you would like to see profiled please have them fill out the form by going to the link and have them submit a photo (horizontal) as well. https://kcnforms.wufoo.eu/forms/w1j6ukk41dqsfs9/
