The Penticton Western News is looking to hear more from our community members and is interested in finding out what they love about Penticton.

We are profiling different residents for our community section, by asking them to answer a list of questions about Penticton and why they think it is so great.

This week we are profiling Kim Kirkham, the executive director for the Penticton & Wine Country Chamber of Commerce.

Kirkham has made Penticton her home and place of work for over 27 years. She loves to give back to the community and is what you might consider a “seasoned volunteer.” One of her most recent accomplishments was being the co-chair for the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Kirkham loves Penticton because of the combination of stunning natural beauty and the friendly people that call the city home.

“When you join a community that’s right for you, you surround yourself with people who care about the same things, share the same ideas and are co-creating similar projects as you,” said Kirkham.

Find out what Kirkham thinks about her community of Penticton.
