A Family Day-themed long weekend is on deck in Penticton.

Here's what's happening from Feb. 14 to 17:

Vees host Smoke Eaters (Feb. 14)

It's a battle of the BCHL's top two teams on Friday at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC), as the Penticton Vees clash with the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Penticton sits atop the Interior Conference and BCHL overall, two points ahead of Trail.

Puck drop on Friday is at 7 p.m.

Penticton Art Gallery exhibitions (Feb. 14)

The opening of three winter exhibitions comes to the Penticton Art Gallery from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday night.

While the gallery's main area hosts an exhibition courtesy of the National Indigenous Professional Artist Training Program, the Toni Onley Gallery will have an exhibition from the Student Art Collection.

A memorial exhibition honouring the late Carol Munro, a Penticton artist who died in 2024, will be found in the project room gallery.

All three exhibitions will run until March 16.

Jared Nathan brings the laughs to Barley Mill (Feb. 15)

Ontario comedian Jared Nathan brings his 2025 West Coast Comedy Tour to the Barley Mill Brew Pub on Saturday night.

Show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets can be purchased here.

Doug Robb at Cannery (Feb. 16)

Doug Robb, who's performed at venues across Canada for several years, comes to Penticton's Cannery Brewing on Sunday night.

With a guitar in hand, Robb is set to perform inside the brewery's taproom.

Show runs from 5 to 7 p.m. with no cover charge.

Family Day at Penticton Community Centre (Feb. 17)

The Penticton Community Centre is hosting several events on Monday in celebration of Family Day.

While the centre's pool will be open, along with its diving board and waterslide, there will also be activities to enjoy away from the water.

A Family Day games zone in the gym, including a bouncy castle, will be open. There will also be a nearby arts and crafts station.

The community centre will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Vees host holiday skate after battle with West Kelowna (Feb. 17)

The Vees and West Kelowna Warriors will meet for the first time this season on Monday afternoon, at the SOEC.

Puck drop is set for 2 p.m.

After the game, people are invited for a public skate with the Vees. Fans can meet their favourite players, take pictures and get autographs.

No helmets or skate rentals will be available at the site. Kids aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult/guardian, the BCHL team said.
