Just in time for Halloween, Penticton’s Cannery Brewery has launched a new ‘Zombie’ tiki cocktail-inspired sour.

Zombies heard about the beer release and invaded the Cannery’s Backyard to get their hands on some.

Thankfully, Nathan from Penticton-based One Eye Shut Media was there to capture it all on video. (No brains were eaten in the making of this video!)

On Tuesday, the Cannery had a release party for the Zombie, with a tiki-inspired playlist, zombie merch, and the release of their 4-packs of 473ml cans of this limited release.

The Zombie is a Halloween-inspired tropical sour inspired by the heavy-hitting tiki cocktail, the Zombie. It features notes of rum, falernum, pineapple, passionfruit and lime. This beer contains lactose.

The Cannery Backyard is now closed for the season, except for the Zombies who may hang around, said the Cannery staff.

For Beer Week in Penticton (Oct. 14 to 22), Cannery is hosting Burger Shack and Beers on Oct. 19 at 5 p.m.
