Fundraiser for Okanagan feline organization brings in over $5,500

The annual Cat Scootin’ Boogie pub night in aid of AlleyCATS raised over $5,500

The recent Cat Scootin’ Boogie pub night at Tug’s Tap House was a high steppin,’ sold out affair in support of AlleyCATS Alliance.

According to AlleyCATS volunteer Aja Jackson, about 130 people turned up for the fundraiser, generating over $5,500 for the organization’s work.

“The money of course goes to bottle feed help with feeding cats and kittens that are rescued, abandoned and lost and feral,” said Jackson. “It’s also to help to spay and neuter all the kittens before they’re adopted out and to help with fostering costs of feeding these kittens, they eat a lot and poop a lot and then there are medical bills as well.”
