Letter: Cutting trees in Penticton

Penticton Western News letters to the editor.

It has been a few times now that I have noticed freshly cut beautiful trees disposed off in the alley.

On Tuesday, this healthy, about six-foot blue spruce was dumped in the alley across from the Church Street, by McLaren Park.

To see this barbaric behaviour of some people, is very disturbing. I am sure that a lot of people would gladly come and dig the tree out for re-planting in their yard.

My seven-year-old granddaughter brought me a letter which she wrote after seeing this and it obviously hurt her feelings.

Some people don’t realize that they can also be disposed of one day or, be hurt by somebody. If you think everything is disposable in our society, so are you.
