Children's Showcase kicks off with some magic

Children’s Showcase is back for another season with a magical performance set to kick things off.

Not your everyday magician, Sheldon Casavant is recognized as one of Canada’s most sought after performers, engaging diverse audiences of all ages with a repertoire of highly interactive magic.

From intimate gatherings to audiences in excess of 25,000 people, Casavant’s unique style of magic has been seen around the world.

Based in Edmonton, Alta., he has entertained accross Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Panama, China and over 600 shows in Japan. Casavant also performed for athletes from around the world at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010.

Casavant comes to the Cleland Theatre on Oct. 16 at 2 p.m.
