There will be no heartbreak as performers and fans check into Penticton for the annual Penticton Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival

There will be no heartbreak as performers and fans check into Penticton for the annual Penticton Pacific Northwest Elvis Festival.

Each year the event gains more and more attention as some of the best Elvis tribute artists take the stage in both amateur and professional categories.

The amateur category for 2009 is completely full and a waiting list has been started for other hopefuls.

The three-day festival takes place June 25-28 at a number of venues around the Peach City offering Elvis’ rock and roll as well as his favourite gospel works.

Elvis Tribute Artists take part in judged competitions as they compete to be named professional and amateur champions.

Along with the judged performances, some of the most renowned tribute artists are showcased in professional live shows, the Sunday Showcase of Gospel Music and feature celebrity guests from Elvis’ life.
