Magician and illusionist Sheldon Casavant captivated the crowd at the first Children's Showcase presentation at the Cleland Theatre Sunday. Casavant's interest in magic began at the age of eight and he has since become one of the most sought after entertainers in his field. Two years in a row he was nominated Entertainer of the Year by the Canadian Events Industry Awards.
This was the first of four Showcase performances. The next will take place Nov. 20 featuring the band and dance troupe Ache Brasil.
