Megadeth is coming to the South Okanagan Events Centre March 5.

Those getting ready to see Megadeth in Penticton on Saturday have a chance to meet drummer Crhis Adler in person.

Adler advertised on his Twitter account a 30-minute meet and greet for one person plus a guest a few hours prior to the March 5 concert.

The opportunity comes in the form of an eBay auction and the net proceeds go to charity. The winner of the auction will also receive an autographed drum head and a pair of Chris Adler signature drumsticks.

The posting says that recordings of the meet and greet are discouraged, but “no topics off the table for discussion.”

The proceeds from the meet and greet go to support the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation, which supports those with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a genetic defect in connective tissue, as well as the United Nation’s World Food Programme (WFP) — the food assistance branch of the UN.

To bid on the meet and greet visit click here. Bidding ends Saturday (March 5) at 7:15 a.m.

There are currently (as of 10:30 a.m. March 2) no bids on the meet and greet, with the starting bid set at $150.
