The Penticton Peach Festival may be well into its 60s, but its website is brand spanking new.

Recognizing how much web technology and communication have become a part of everyday life, the festival’s volunteer board of directors decided earlier this year that Peachfest needed to update its web presence. A Penticton firm was engaged to review the current website and make reccomendations for how it might be improved.

“Shadowfax Communications has done a tremendous job,” said Peachfest president Rick Riddall.  “It is user-friendly, well organized, colourful and inviting. We welcome everybody to click on the link www.peachfest.com and review plans for this year’s festival.”

Riddall said the website will be updated regularly with the entertainment lineup, photos and information leading up to the launch of the five-day festival on Aug. 3.
