Earlier this week, Get Loud entertainment started the buzz about their upcoming Sound of Summer music festival with the release of the concert line up for the two-day event.

Leading the list of performers for the all-ages event is one of the best known names in hip hop, Lupe Fiasco, who is joined on the bill by up and comer Aviccii and rap artist Flo Rida.

The list of performers doesn’t stop there though. Organizer Landon Hamilton has made sure to offer up a range of musical genres, with performances from Swollen Members, Jump Smokers, Mia Martina, Daniel Wesley, My Darkest Days, JRDN, Fatman Scoop and Hyper Crush, with more to come.

The festival takes place on Aug. 13 and 14 in Okanagan Lake Park and organizers said the beachside experience will attract thousands of tourists to Penticton. They’re expecting over 5,000 people to come down to the lake to experience what they call the “hottest weekend to hit the South Okanagan this 2011.”

Tickets went on sale yesterday at Clubzone.com, Freeride Boardshops, and Underground Clothing retail outlets. Group Rates are available, for details contact Hamilton at landon@getloudentertainment.com.
