The Magic of Ireland, scheduled to perform tonight at Oliver’s Frank Venables Auditorium at SOSS has been cancelled.

With 40 years under his belt as a musician, you can be sure Roy Forbes knows something about how to write a song. But even now, he happily admits, he is still learning. “It’s a continual learning experience, songwriting. I don’t spew them out like I did when I was in my twenties,” said Forbes. “I am in a different place now, but I am always listening to songs.”

Not only does A Song in our Heart celebrate the return of Spring, it will also be the last time music director Patti Craig will stand at the podium leading the Penticton Tuneagers in concert. Craig is retiring after 17 years with the seniors’ singing group, 11 of them as director.

Brock Zanrosso, runner-up on the second season of YTV’s The Next Star, is grabbing headlines all across Canada and America, and Penticton’s Peach Festival has snagged him to perform on Aug. 3 at this year’s festival.

A new attraction is set to open this month on the Las Vegas strip called the Las Vegas Mob Experience, located in the Tropicana Hotel.
