The Cawston Cabin Fever fundraiser is back for another year on Feb. 15 at the Cawston Community Hall.
The night features performances from three bands; locally based Fender Bender and Rob ‘n’ Walker with Jeff Lakey, and the Penticton based Blueshounds.
Along with the music, the fundraising evening brings back the Painted Chair Auction, with local artists working on some of the collection of stored wooden chairs the hall has gathered over the years.
Local businesses have also donated items for a silent auction, from gift certificates to physical prizes.
Cabin Fever is the Cawston Community Hall’s largest fundraiser of the year, with the money going to support the running of the hall as well as improvements and renovations. Last year’s fundraiser enabled them to paint the inside of the hall, install irrigation sprinklers outside, and begin replacing the existing lights with modern LEDs.
Future projects that are being considered include replacing the remaining lights, commissioning a mural for the hall, replacing the old wooden tables and building a permanent stage for performers to use.
Doors open for the show at 7:30 with the music starting at 8 p.m.
There is a beer and wine bar at the hall, and there will be a designated driver on hand for the night.
Tickets for the show are $20, with early tickets available from Westland Insurance in Keremeos and from the Cawston Marketplace.
