Cawston Hall welcomes Canadian Celtic folk musicians Dec. 5

Victoria’s Knacker’s Yard play a mix of Irish, Scottish, Australian, and oirignal music.

Cawston Hall hosts the Celtic sound of Knacker’s Yard on Dec. 5.

The Victoria, B.C., group brings their mix of Irish, Scottish, English and Australian music to the Okanagan.

This will be their first show at the Cawston Hall, after performing previously at the Grist Mill.

Knacker’s Yard is the house band at the Irish Times Public House in Victoria, and have performed at the Victoria Highland Games, the B.C. Highland Games, the Vancouver Celtic Festival and the Islands Folk Festival.

The group of five recently released their fifth studio album, Jigs and Reels, featuring the instrumentals of their fiddle, guitar, bodhran, bones and banjo.

Doors for the night open at 7:30 p.m. with the music starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20, and can be purchased at the door, or ahead of time at Westland Insurance in Keremeos or the Cawston Marketplace.
