Here's what's happening this weekend in Penticton

As the official start of summer inches closer, more and more events are popping up in Penticton.

Here's what's happening from June 7 to 9:

HaHaHa KidzFest (June 7 and 8) 

The annual event kicked off Thursday, and welcomes large crowds for activities, games, music, parades and more.

‘Open Wheel Extravaganza’ at Penticton Speedway (June 7 and 8) 

The Penticton Speedway says it is welcoming the "fastest cars to ever hit the oval track" this weekend.

The Open Wheel Extravaganza Can-Am Wingless Sprints return on Friday and Saturday.

The speedway is currently advertising for the popular King of the Hill event to also be held on Friday. 

Okanagan Sprints at Skaha Lake (June 7 and 8) 

Penticton Paddle Sports welcomes canoe teams from across the region for Okanagan Super Sprints.

While Friday for racers aged 55 and over, Saturday for teams of all ages.

Penticton Seniors’ Week wraps up (June 7 and 8) 

After a busy slate of events dating back to last Sunday, Penticton Seniors’ Week comes to a close this weekend.

Colour4Kids Run (June 9) 

Wildstone Construction’s Colour4Kids Run returns to Penticton, with hundreds of participants set to run along the Okanagan Lake waterfront.

The event starts outside LocoLanding Adventure Park at 10 a.m.

All proceeds from the event go to the OSNS Child and Youth Development Centre. 

Giant’s Head Freeride (June 7 to 9) 

Longboarders enthusiasts are in Summerland this weekend for the Giant’s Head Freeride. 

The event will take place at Giant’s Head Mountain Park from Friday to Sunday.
