The holiday season is in full swing and there's no shortage of ways to take part in the fun this weekend in Penticton.
Here's what's happening from Dec. 13 to 15:
Cram the Cruiser (Dec. 13)
Cram the Cruiser, an annual holiday giveback tradition, returns to Real Canadian Superstore on Friday.
Members of the Penticton RCMP and Community Policing, Penticton Fire Department, Penticton Bylaw Department, Penticton Search and Rescue, Canada Border Services Agency, and BC Corrections will be accepting donations in support of those in need this holiday season, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Food and toy donations will be going to the local Salvation Army Food Bank.
According to the non-profit organization the most needed items include crackers, soup, cereal, pasta, toiletries, Kraft Dinner, canned vegetables, canned proteins and financial donations.
Vees' final home game before holiday break (Dec. 13)
The Penticton Vees host the West Kelowna Warriors on Friday night for the first of the team's home-and-home series this weekend.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
One night later, the Vees will head up Highway 97 and visit the Warriors at Royal LePage Place.
The home-and-home series marks the teams' final games before the holiday break, with Penticton not scheduled to be on ice until Dec. 28.
Winter Farmers' Market (Dec. 14)
For the second weekend in a row, the Penticton Winters Farmers' Market comes to Cherry Lane Shopping Centre.
The indoor market takes place on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature around 50 vendors with fresh produce, eggs and meat, baked goods, treats, cider, spirits, arts and crafts and more.
Event organizers say there will also be a free draw to win a gift basket.
Penticton Tune-Agers Choir and Orchestra concert
The Penticton Tune-Agers Choir and Orchestra bring its seasonal concert to the Blue Church on Saturday.
Winter Glory starts at 2 p.m., as the band, directed by Kelsey Zachary, comes to the building located at Main Street and Eckhardt Avenue.
Tickets are $15, or $5 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased at the door.
Last Chance Gift & Artisans Expo (Dec. 14 and 15)
A holiday-themed shopping experience comes to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre this weekend.
The Last Chance Gift & Artisans Expo returns to the venue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Partial proceeds from the event will go to the Purple Pantry, to help those in need this holiday season.
Tickets are $3 per day or $5 for the weekend.
Free live music at Cannery Brewing (Dec. 15)
Local musician Justin Koshman performs inside Cannery Brewing's taproom on Sunday evening.
Koshman will bring a blend of roots-folk and beach rock music, according to the venue.
The show runs from 5 to 7 p.m. and there is no cover charge.
