Baldy Mountain Resort is partnering with other ski areas to offer even more value for their season passes.

The partnership for the Enhanced Reciprocal Agreement Pass means that all Baldy Mt. season pass holders will also get two free lift tickets to Apex Mountain, Manning Park, Mt. Seymour, and the Mt. Washington ski areas. The resort is also making their passes more open and available for guests of all types.

“We’re a community-based mountain and our guests are very passionate and knowledgeable about their home mountain, so when we want to try new things, we start by asking the community what they want,” said Andy Foster, Baldy Mountain Resort’s general manager in a release.

The resort has also looked into the feedback from their guests and responded with easier ways to pay, and brand new passes for families, parents, teens, students, and masters. In particular, the resort looked into demographics of last years’ season pass holders to better understand what they needed to improve.

This dive into their data, as well as surveys with their guests, has led to the introduction of passes for students, as well as passes for parents and families. The resort is also bringing in a flex pass, for people who can’t make it up to the slope every weekend, new pricing categories, and more.

“The data told us several very clear stories,” explained marketing coordinator Andrew Zwicker. “First, our single biggest age category by a wide margin for pass holders was the 15-19 year old category. That was followed up with an 85% drop among 20-24 year olds, suggesting a strong need for a student pass to keep those teens skiing, even if just on weekends and holidays home from school.”

Early bird purchasing of the tickets is open now, and Baldy Mountain Resort has worked to make their passes more affordable. Together with Valley First in Penticton and Oliver, they are offering a payment plan for early bird purchases, with adult passes starting at $57 a month. Also returning is the 25% discount on lift tickets at participating ski areas for Baldy Mountain season pass holders.

The end result was a whole new set of pass holder benefits, partnerships with other mountains offering free skiing, easier ways to pay, new pricing categories, new passes for students, passes specific to parents and families and the introduction of a flex pass.
