Residents in the Penticton-Summerland riding will have multiple opportunities to hear from candidates ahead of the Oct. 19 election.

So far four all-candidates forums have been announced by different organizations and groups in the area.

The first forum scheduled is on Oct. 3, starting at 5:30 p.m., and will be hosted by the Penticton and Wine Country Chamber of Commerce at the Penticton campus of Okanagan College.

The questions will focus on the economy, healthcare, housing and affordability, climate change and the natural resource sector, and public safety.

The next forum is being hosted by First Things First Okanagan on Oct. 5, starting at 3 p.m. at the Penticton Seniors Drop-In Centre.

The FTFO forum will be focused on environmental and climate questions, covering topics such as energy needs, forestry, the carbon tax and agriculture.

Two forums are currently scheduled on Oct. 7.

The first is scheduled at 9 a.m. at Holy Cross School in Penticton, and the second is at 7 p.m. in Summmerland's Centre Stage Theatre.

The second forum is being hosted by the Summerland Society for Civic Engagement. People who wish to submit a question for the forum are asked to do so through the Society's Facebook page.

The public is invited to attend the forums, and registration is required for the Oct. 3 Chamber forum. Registration can be done by going to  https://www.chamberorganizer.com/members/evr/reg_event.php?evid=86597931&orgcode=PENT
