The gift of free parking is returning to Penticton this holiday season.
On-street parking in the city’s downtown core will be free through December on Fridays and Saturdays, following council’s approval earlier this month.
Parking in the city on Sunday is already free year-round.
The initiative was adopted to promote local businesses during the holiday shopping period, the city said.
Free parking is limited to two hours.
The program only applies to on-street metered parking stalls, as city and private lot rules remain in effect.
