Nomination period looms for Penticton by-election

Candidates can file nomination packages as early as Feb. 18

Penticton city officials will soon be accepting nomination documents for an upcoming by-election to replace former councillor Amelia Boultbee, who now serves as MLA.

The nomination period opens on Tuesday, Feb. 18. at 9 a.m., and will run until Feb. 28.

Prospective candidates can file their documents at Penticton City Hall during this time. Nomination packages can be found on the city's website.

“We encourage people to make an appointment to file their nomination documents to ensure the process is as smooth as possible," said Angie Collison, the city's chief election officer.

People can make an appointment by emailing election@penticton.ca or calling 250-490-2410.
