School District 53 will be holding a meeting to go over their budget process and ask for input on March 6.

The meeting will be held at the school board’s annex in Oliver.

The budget process takes many steps, and the first draft of the 2024-25 budget will be completed and presented in May, after taking into account feedback and other variables.

Following the first preliminary budget meeting on March 6, preliminary funding will be announced by the Ministry of Education.

The first meeting will go over the process and gather initial feedback.

A second meeting is planned for April, which will present estimates for the 2024-25 budget.

The final updates to budget will be presented in June ahead of the vote to approve and adopt it by the school board.

The meeting on March 6 is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
