The City of Penticton is looking for volunteers from the community to fill vacancies in two of its committees.

The Accessibility Committee has two openings for volunteers, and the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee has one spot vacant.

As a committee member, volunteers from a diverse range of views and experiences will discuss and provide recommendations on issues referred to them from city council.

The Accessibility Committee for example, provides advice on how to remove barriers between the public and the city, and for ways to make the community as a whole more accessible and inclusive.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee helps inform City policies and bylaws that affect parks and recreation, most recently for example on the subject of the off-leash dog park program.

Anyone who is interested is asked to submit an application online at penticton.ca/committees or in person at City Hall, 171 Main Street.

Completed applications need to be submitted on or before May 23, 2025.
