Athens Creek Retirement Lodge in Penticton has new owners.
B.C.-based and family-owned PARC Retirement Living announced on Dec. 23 that they had acquired the independent living community.
All six of PARC’s other independent living buildings are concrete structures designed and purpose-built by PARC from the ground up. They include the new Cristalina PARC that just opened in Kelowna, plus additional residences in West Vancouver, Burnaby, White Rock and two in North Vancouver.
“It’s a first for us. PARC has actually been interested in Athens Creek for several years. The quality of the building and the positive feedback from residents speak volumes about how well-aligned Athens Creek is with our values,” said Rainer Müller, founder and chairman of PARC. "We look forward to offering Athens Creek residents the same exceptional services that PARC is known for, and we’re excited to welcome the Athens Creek team to the PARC family.”
Athens Creek has 80 suites and first opened in 1997. In addition to being PARC’s first independent senior living community in Penticton, the facility is also the company's first wood-frame residence building.
