Planned power outages to hit Penticton next month

Nine separate power outages lasting seven hours planned by city.

The City of Penticton is planning nine separate power outages to upgrade the city’s electric utility system. The outages will affect a portion of the Uplands and Naramata areas.

The date and times of the outages are listed below:

Stage 1 - Tuesday, March 17, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 2 - Wednesday, March 18, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 3 - Thursday, March 19, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 4 - Tuesday, March 24, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 5 - Wednesday, March 25, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 6 - Saturday, March 28, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 7 - Tuesday, March 31, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 8 - Wednesday, April 1, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Stage 9 - Thursday, April 2, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

The city’s planned power outages will periodically affect these nine areas. (City of Penticton)

People affected by the outages will soon receive a letter informing them, as well as another letter reminding themseven to ten days prior.
