Polls closed in Similkameen-South Okanagan-West Kootenay

Update 7 p.m.: The Polls have now closed. Preliminary Results will be shared soon by Elections Canada.

Similkameen-South Okanagan-West Kootenay voters can cast their ballots in the federal election today from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Electors must vote only at their assigned polling place. This is different from the process in some provincial elections, where electors can vote at any polling location.

Voters can find the address for their assigned polling station on the back of their voter information card, by visiting elections.ca or by calling 1-800-463-6868.

To vote, electors must prove their identity and address. The list of accepted ID can also be found online at Elections Canada's website.

Across Canada over 7.3 million people voted in advance polls from April 18 to 21 for a record breaking early turnout.

Helena Konanz, Conservative Party of Canada

Linda Sankey, New Democratic Party

Philip Mansfield, Green Party of Canada

Barry Dewar, People’s Party of Canada

Gloria Morgan, Liberal Party of Canada
