City of Penticton officials have released a survey about public safety, as they look to gather input on residents' concerns and ideas.

A questionnaire that debuted at council's open house on Oct. 29 is now available for completion online.

Feedback collected through the survey will help shape local initiatives about public safety moving forward, according to the city.

Questions about encampments and local crime-prevention programs are included in the survey.

"This questionnaire will help city council and staff understand the level of safety residents feel in their communities, local familiarity with bylaw and police services and the types of crime residents experience," it reads.

The survey can be found here.

Paper copies are available at Penticton City Hall, 171 Main Street.
