Smoke show behind Penticton vet hospital quickly snuffed out

Firefighters were called to the scene just after 12:30 p.m.

Black smoke could be seen rising from behind the BC SPCA Penticton Veterinary Hospital on Duncan Avenue, on Friday afternoon (Jan. 3).

Firefighters were called to the scene just after 12:30 p.m.

It appears debris behind the building may have caught fire, however, there was no sign of visible flames.

Crews were able to snuff out the smoke coming from the debris.

The vet hospital was evacuated for a short time as a precaution.
