Luke Posthumus has signed with the Penticton Vees ahead of the 2024-2025 BCHL season.

Two years of "valuable" junior hockey experience has been added to the Penticton Vees' lineup ahead of next season.

The team has signed Luke Posthumus for the 2024-2025 BCHL campaign, the club announced Friday, June 7.

Posthumus, 19, spent last year with the Tri-City Storm in the United States Hockey League. Before that, the 5'11", 187-pound forward played one season with the Nepean Raiders in the Central Canada Hockey League.

"Luke will bring valuable experience to our forward group, as he’s entering his third season of junior hockey, having played in the USHL and Ontario," said Fred Harbinson, the Vees' head coach, general manager and president. "Luke has shown the ability to score at a young age and will look to add offence to our lineup."

In 38 games with Tri-City in 2023-2024, the Ottawa, Ont. product scored three goals and posted 13 points.

His commitment to Penticton marks the team's third signing in as many days.

On June 5 and 6, the Vees inked defenceman Julien Wasmer and Michael Fisher.

The latter was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
