As August winds down and fall's beginning inches closer, hockey fans in Penticton can look forward to getting their first look at the next edition of the city's BCHL team.
Tickets are now on sale for the Penticton Vees' two preseason games at the South Okanagan Events Centre, set for Sept. 7 and 14.
The defending Interior Conference champions will host the Vernon Vipers and Salmon Arm Silverbacks in succession, with the latter taking place during the Vancouver Canucks' Young Stars Classic.
Penticton will be on the road for two other pre-season showdowns, as it visits the Trail Smoke Eaters and West Kelowna Warriors on Sept. 6 and 13, respectively.
The club's new and returning players from last season will arrive in the South Okanagan and report to training camp next week, with the annual Peaches Cup intrasquad game set for Aug. 31.
