In a show of support for the YES Project and the new Youth Resource Centre, the Penticton and Area Access Society is postponing Access Goes Disco.
One of the organization’s main charity events, Access Goes Disco was slated to take place Nov. 22 at the Barking Parrot within the Penticton Lakeside Resort. The event will feature a burger and beer, a live DJ, disco lessons, and a dance performance by Army of Sass Penticton.

Organizers have opted to move the event to February 2019 as the YES Project has another charity event slated for the following evening, with Aaron Pritchett Live - Youth Centre Fundraiser taking place Nov. 23.
“The YES Project is having a fundraiser on November 23rd. We will be out there to support them,” reads the Access Centre’s Facebook post announcing the postponement.

Aaron Pritchett, a Canadian country music singer, will be performing live at the Penticton Lakeside and Resort to raise funds to renovate the main floor of the Youth Resource Centre and opening the Foundry Penticton, which will both be located at 501 Main St.
Presented by Invictus Entertainment Group and New Country 100.7, tickets for the event are $40 (plus tax/service fee) and include a burger and coleslaw. JCI Penticton will also be hosting a silent auction for the event.
