A man was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital Sunday with non life-threatening injuries following an accident on Skaha Lake Road just before 1 p.m.

Fire, ambulance and police responded to a call on Nov. 1 at 12:47 p.m. to a collision between a car and a motorcycle in the 3500 block of Skaha Lake road, near Skaha Lake Park.

RCMP say the rider was lucky not to be severely injured after clipping the front corner of a car that exited a condo complex without stopping.

A nearby resident described debris strewn over a wide area, with the motorcycle about 500 feet from where its male driver lay in the centre of the busy road.

The road was closed to traffic in both directions while the injured rider was cared for and the accident scene investigated.
