Speed relative to driving conditions is one of the contributing factors to an accident that sent one person to hospital with life-threatening injuries on Thursday.
A pick up truck collided with a Honda Civic on Highway 97, just north of the Kaleden weigh scales at about 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 24.
Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said the driver of the truck was not seriously injured but the driver of the Honda sustained life-threatening injures and was airlifted to Kelowna General Hospital.
"The public is urged to drive according to conditions and to use actual winter tires with the snowflake on the sidewall," said Moskaluk.
