Two ambulances were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 97 several kilometres south of Penticton near the turnoff to the Riva Ridge mobile home park.
A small, silver compact car and older pickup truck wound up i1n the right lane of the southbound portion of the roadway.
It's not known how many people were injured in the collision which backed up southbound traffic for over an hour.
Penticton Fire Rescue and Penticton Indian Band volunteer fire department also responded to the scene.
