A three-day swim meet in Penticton will leave many of the city’s pool services unavailable from Oct. 14 to 16.
The KISU Swim Club is hosting its annual Pentathlon and Jamboree event starting at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14 and for the duration of Saturday and Sunday, closing the pool for public use as a result.
Access to the leisure pool, lazy river, stream room and hot tub will also be unavailable, the city said.
In the past, swim clubs from across the Interior have made the trip to Penticton for the event.
The community centre will still offer other activities and remain open for its regular hours this weekend.
The pool, however, will reopen for regular use on Monday, Oct. 17.
