A driver is suspected to have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing a single vehicle incident on Highway 97, between Penticton and Summerland.
The incident, believed to have taken place around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, slowed traffic on the highway.
“The driver, who was headed to Kelowna airport, momentarily lost control of his Volkswagen. The vehicle swerved across the on-coming land and up onto a meridian, which resulted in the vehicle rolling multiple times before landing back on its wheels,” said Const. James Grandy in a news release.
Grandy said the driver suffered minor injuries.
