Body pulled from Tuc-El-Nuit Lake

Emergency crews pulled the body of a 37-year-old man out of Tuc-El-Nuit Lake on Tuesday, according to South Okanagan RCMP.

The man’s death is believed to have been a drowning and is not considered suspicious, Sgt. Blaine Gervais said in a news release.

Police were notified to the man’s body found in the lake at 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday, and an investigation revealed the man had been seen entering the water while swimming earlier in the day, but hadn’t been noted as missing until later in the day.

Police believe the man is a 37-year-old Mexican man.

RCMP is assisting the B.C. Coroner Service in its investigation into the death.
