Camper fire in Penticton under investigation

PIB and Penticton Fire put out the blaze that destroyed the camper Sunday morning

Penticton Fire and Penticton Indian Band Fire responded to an abandoned camper fully engulfed in flames Sunday morning.

The fire was called in at around 8:20 a.m. at Old Airport Road and Green Mountain Road.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze with no damage to surrounding vehicles. No one was injured while putting out the blaze, said assistant fire chief Rob Trupp.

There was no one living in the camper and the fire is under investigation, he added.
