Penticton Firefighters were called into action for a reported structure fire at 85 Green Ave. E. last night.
The call came in around 11:45 p.m. and upon arrival firefighters could see smoke coming from the second floor of a carriage house located at the rear of the main residence. A witness said crews quickly deployed handlines and went in. They had the fire out around 12:17 a.m.
The witness told the Penticton Western News that the homeowners got the people from the carriage home out safely and it is believed there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
