Channel Parkway crash sends five to hospital

Five people sent to hospital following a head-on crash on the Channel Parkway in Penticton on Friday afternoon.

Five people were taken to hospital following a head-on collision this afternoon on the Channel Parkway.

The Channel Parkway was closed for several hours in both directions as a result of the crash around 12:30 p.m. involving a pickup truck and a small SUV near Duncan Avenue.

B.C. Ambulance spokesperson Kelsey Carwithen said paramedics transported five people to hospital, four of whom sustained only minor damage, while the fifth suffered serious injuries.

Penticton RCMP were not immediately able Friday afternoon to provide any further details.
