City and union reach tentative deal

Following days of intense negotiations that continued over the weekend, the City of Penticton has reached a tentative collective agreement with the union that represents the 178 civic employees.

Following days of intense negotiations that continued over the weekend, the City of Penticton has reached a tentative collective agreement with the union that represents the 178 civic employees.

The tentative deal is subject to ratification by CUPE Local  608 members and Penticton council. Both bargaining committees are recommending acceptance.

The city and CUPE have agreed to keep the terms of the tentative agreement confidential until ratification votes are held.
