City bus and car collide on Penticton street

The intersection at Duncan Avenue and Leir Street was briefly closed

A car and a city bus were involved in a collision in Penticton on Thursday morning, Oct. 6. (Logan Lockhart - Western News)

A city bus collided with a car shortly before 10:30 a.m. at Duncan Avenue and Leir Street in Penticton.

First responders included multiple RCMP vehicles, firefighters, and ambulances.

One person was seen being loaded into an ambulance.

It is not currently known whether there were any serious injuries.

The intersection was briefly closed due to the collision until a tow truck arrived to remove the damaged car.

RCMP did not comment on whether it was the bus that hit the car or the car that hit the bus.
