The City of Penticton is looking for people to provide the council with valuable feedback on a number of local issues.
In an announcement made on Wednesday (Jan. 26), the city said they are looking for advisory committee members who can give advice and make recommendations on matters referred to them by council.
The city is looking for volunteers to fill positions across eight different committees:
• Agriculture Advisory Committee
• Arts, Creative and Cultural Innovation Advisory Committee
• Community Sustainability Advisory Committee
• Economic Prosperity and Development Services Advisory Committee
• Heritage and Museum Advisory Committee
• Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee
• Penticton and Ellis Creek Restoration Select Committee
• Safety and Security Advisory Committee
“We are always looking for interested individuals who want to serve in a voluntary capacity on one of Council’s Advisory Committees,” the city said in its Wednesday announcement.
People interested in serving on an advisory committee are asked to visit the city’s website and fill in a council committee application form.
