Cocaine found during vehicle stop in Penticton

Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force officers find cocaine in vehicle stop.

Penticton RCMP arrested one man and are anticipating charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

On Wednesday, Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force officers stopped a vehicle on Halifax Street and arrested the two occupants for cocaine trafficking. Cpl. Brad Myhre said officers seized a quanitity of powder cocaine packaged for street level sales.

The two Penticton residents, a 25-year-old female and 28-year-old male, were found to have no prior criminal records said RCMP.

The woman was released with no proposed charges and the man was held for court facing an anticipated charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
