COVID cases increase in Penticton care home outbreak

Village by the Station and Haven Hill experiencing outbreaks

COVID cases keep increasing at Village by the Station long term care home in Penticton.

Interior Health released Thursday’s numbers, showing Village by the Station now has 38 cases: 24 residents and 14 staff, with three deaths connected to the outbreak.

That number is up from 34 earlier this week.

The outbreak was first reported at the Village on Sept. 29 with 10 cases: eight residents and two staff.

Meanwhile, over at Haven Hill care centre in Penticton, the outbreak has remained at 12 cases: 10 residents and two staff, with one death connected to the outbreak.
