Crash involving towed boat in Penticton causing traffic congestion

A two-vehicle crash involving a towed boat has temporarily closed Okanagan Avenue East at Government Street Tuesday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., a sedan and a Jeep towing a boat crashed at the intersection of Okanagan Ave. E and Government.

Police, fire and ambulance are currently on scene. Only minor injuries are involved while fire works to tow the vehicles away.

The Jeep has two flat tires and the front bumper has come off the sedan.

Okanagan Ave. E should be open back to traffic by 4 p.m.
