Crews respond to cyclist crash south of Penticton

Penticton emergency crews responded after a cyclist lost control and crashed at a high rate of speed on Highway 97, just south of Penticton.

Penticton Fire Department was called to the scene at around 1 p.m. Wednesday, and were conducting traffic control, with the crash resulting in a traffic jam in the area.

An ambulance was seen rushing toward Penticton from the crash Wednesday afternoon with sirens and lights on.

The extent of any injuries is not currently known.

Google Maps shows a buffer in traffic just south of Penticton, north of Kaleden, where emergency crews responded to a crash between a vehicle and a cyclist.
