Curbside collection changing for some communities in RDOS

Naramata, Carmi, Green Mountain Rod and Grand Oro Road will have a change of service

In July, curbside collection of garbage, recycling and yard waste will be changing days in Naramata (Electoral Area ‘E’), Carmi (Electoral Area ‘D’), the Green Mountain Road area (Electoral Area ‘D’) and Grand Oro Rd (Areas ‘D’ and ‘G’).

There will be no changes to collection days for any other area.

Naramata/Falconridge to Thursdays

Starting in July, Area ‘E’ residents in Naramata and Falconridge will switch from Monday collection to Thursday collection. The last Monday collection was June 25 and the first Thursday collection will be July 5.

Carmi to Thursdays

Residents in the Carmi area, east of Penticton, will have their collection day switch from Fridays to Thursdays. The last Friday collection will be June 29 and the first Thursday collection will be July 5 for this community.

Green Mountain Rd and Grand Oro to Wednesdays

Rural Area ‘D’ properties along Green Mountain Road, Apex Mountain Road, a small portion of White Lake Road accessed from Highway 3A and Grand Oro Road will switch from Friday collection back to Wednesday. Except for the Carmi area, all properties in Electoral Area ‘D’ will have Wednesday collections starting in July.
