Cyclist struck by car on Main Street

A woman riding a bicycle in the 1800-block of Main Street was not seriously hurt after a collision with a vehicle.

Mounties were called Saturday afternoon to a bike-versus-car incident on Main Street in front of KFC. A 61-year-old woman who had been riding on the sidewalk was struck at slow speed by a car that was exiting the restaurant’s parking lot. The woman was treated by paramedics at the scene and the 20-year-old driver of the black Volkswagen was released without charges.
