As work on the Lake-to-Lake bike lane’s first phases wraps up this month, there will be detours in place around Eckhardt Avnuee on Thursday, Aug. 12 at the intersection with Martin Street.

Work crews will be closing Eckhardt between Main Street and Martin Street in order to install new signal arms for the bike route. Work is expected to be completed in the morning.

The work will not affect travel along Martin Street, and drivers can use the road freely on Aug. 12. A second closer the week after is planned that will close Martin Street.

Detours on Aug. 12 will be set up along Eckhardt Avenue to reroute traffic around the intersection.

The first phases of the bike lane are expected to be completed by the end of August.
